Neetu joined GMI during January 2008. She currently serves as a Director in GMI’s Employment Law Department.
She specialises in employment law and pension fund law, including all associated employment related litigation processes ranging from internal proceedings at the workplace to the CCMA, Bargaining Councils, Labour Court, Labour Appeal Court and Constitutional Court.
Her extended areas of focus also include forensic investigations, energy law, public law and diverse commercial law related matters.
She advises clients across various industries and has acted on behalf of various private and public entities, multinationals, constitutional institutions, various universities, municipalities, regulators and SETA’s.
Neetu is also an admitted Notary and renders notarial services such as the preparation and lodgement of antenuptial contracts and legalisation or authentication of all of types of documents for South African citizens and foreign nationals for use abroad.
She has previously served as a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Law at the University of Pretoria in respect of BCom Law students, second-year and fourth-year LLB students. She also currently serves as an ad-hoc guest lecturer for the Advanced Certificate in Labour Law offered by Continued Education @ University of Pretoria.
Neetu is also an examiner and moderator for the Legal Practice Council’s Competency-Based Examinations for admission as an Attorney and Notary. She also serves as a member of the Disciplinary, Investigation and Mediation Committee of the Legal Practice Council.
